    The Department

    There are 33 people in total on our client services team.  Each person works on a franchise consisting of one Account Executive and a few client services team members, which all depends on how large that book of business is.  Each team member is part of one of our five practice groups, and partners with other Account Managers and Support Specialists on a regular basis.  We have a very collaborative environment, as we work towards sharing information and knowledge between all of our five offices and numerous franchises.  We really promote educational opportunities, with the majority of our team working towards a designation, which is a great way to add to their base insurance knowledge. We have a very detailed procedure guide, that, in combination with our Professional Development team, helps to prepare new team members to learn our systems and processes and also helps ensure that we are providing the best possible customer service to our clients.

     

    The Role

    To support and assist the sales team in servicing accounts with emphasis on maintaining client relationships through insurance knowledge and professional communication skills.  This includes assisting in writing new business and retaining existing accounts.  The Account Manager (AM) is committed to the department procedures and agency automation system to organize client files, and works with the Account Executives (AE), other M3 staff to accomplish this.

    Responsibilities

    Client Service

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with all clients and carriers on assigned book of business by responding to issues relating to, but not limited to, questions on policies, coverages, claims, and accounting/billing.

    Marketing

    • Assist the Account Executive and underwriters in preparation of applications, proposals, and related information for both new business and renewals.
    • Identify cross-selling opportunities for clients within the Property & Casualty department, as well as other lines of coverage such as Employee Benefits and Personal Lines.

    Administrative Duties

    • Organize and prioritize workflows for assigned book of business, delegating tasks to other team members as needed.
    • Maintain P&C agent’s license and professional skills through continuing education sessions.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • A minimum of two years property and casualty insurance agency or company experience or education in commercial insurance is desired.
    • P&C agent’s license.
