    The Role
    The Human Resources (HR) Business Partner is responsible for partnering with the leadership team to identify, build and execute people strategies that meet M3’s business objectives. The HR Business Partner understands the critical business and people priorities and works to proactively develop initiatives that support the growth of M3 and maintains the culture. Responsibilities include partnership across the organization on performance management, organizational design, change management, talent development, total rewards, culture & engagement, inclusion & diversity and HR compliance.

    Responsibilities

    Employee Relations & Leadership Coaching 
    • Provide leadership, employee development support and direction to company employees and managers. Includes continuous modeling and communication of M3 Vision, Mission, Strategies, Values and Goals
    • Develop, implement and perform ongoing evaluation of employee relations programs that will create a positive organizational culture.  Promote, monitor and evaluate effectiveness of employee relations activities
    • Partner with company management to advise and counsel them on employment related issues with their staff
    • Serve as employee relations advisor for employees in various employee relations issues by doing intake of the issue, researching any necessary information, soliciting any necessary resources, and providing advice and counsel to them as needed
    • Conduct counseling meetings with employees and managers to resolve employee relations issues
    • Partner with management to coach them with employee performance evaluations
    • Train managers & supervisors on agency Human Resources policy and procedures
    • Work with management to review and recommend terminations.  Exercise care that reasons are well documented and are not arbitrary or discriminatory
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
    • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements
    • Advise and interpret Employee Handbook policies for employees, supervisors, & management
    Community Impact 
    • Act as M3 liaison for non-profit organizations requesting volunteer support, financial gifts, or request information on M3’s giving programs
    • Provide administrative support to the committee including but not limited to writing letters, coordinating checks, scheduling check delivery and making sure all gifts are delivered to recipients in a timely manner
    • Maintain gift request documentation in agency imaging system.  Prepare materials for the committee’s review and selection of gifts
    • Maintain calendar of volunteer and charitable events; ensure no conflicts in scheduling exist
    • Maintain/update M3’s Loop and Corporate Website pages to communicate charitable giving impact
    • Promote volunteer opportunities and work with employee(s) to make sure M3 is represented at the event (i.e. fills appropriate times, tables, etc).
    Company-Wide Projects/Initiatives 
    • Partner, participate or lead on projects and initiatives across the organization as a representative of the HR team
    • Utilize organization, project management, and technical expertise in all active projects/initiatives
    Employee Relations & Employee HR Support
    • Maintain Human Resources Information System, and all employee personnel records and files
    • Review Human Resources policies and procedures, as needed
    • Provide HR support to employees.  This includes making sure new employees are acclimating to M3
    • Provide administrative and technical support to the HR department

    Qualifications

    • BS/BA and five (5) years Human Resources experience, OR 
    • MBA with an emphasis in Human Resources Management and four (2) years experience in the HR field, OR
    • Seven (7) years experience in the HR field, OR
    • Any appropriate combination of education and experience
    • Professional or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) certification preferred.
